The trade union organisations PEO, SEK and DEOK organized on the 24th of September a nationwide one-hour work stoppage due to the continuing understaffing of services in Municipalities and Local community councils.
The Unions are protesting against the stagnation noted in the reform of Local Government and economic policy being pursued by the Ministries which are leading to the dismantling of the services serving citizens and to resorting to the purchasing of services that are undermining labour relations.
