PEO participates in the campaign organised by the World Trade Union Federation WFTU
The international trade union movement of the World Federation of Trade Union (WFTU), which has always supported the struggles of the Palestinian people, has decided to organize a campaign demanding the release of all Palestinian prisoners and especially children.
According to the Association of Palestinian Prisoners, during the period 2015-2020 the Israeli army has arrested 6,000 children. In 2020 alone, 400 children under the age of 18 were arrested, while numerous cases have been recorded of minors being arrested by Israeli authorities despite the fact they had been shot and injured.
Cypriot working people join their voice with the class forces of the WFTU in the struggle for the release of all Palestinian prisoners and children and express their support for the just struggle of the Palestinian people against the occupation of Israel and for the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders.
